Description of key information

In a 'read across' acute daphnia study with diesel fuel the 48hr EL50 was determined to be 210 mg/L based on immobilisation

A supporting QSAR study using PetroTox Model is also available.

Additional information

A sample of diesel fuel was tested in a static 48 -hour acute daphnid (Daphnia magna) test (OECD 202; KS = 1).

Twenty organisms / dose were exposed to diesel fuel WAFs at nominal concentrations of 0, 10, 22, 46, 100, 220, 460 and 1000 mg/L. The EL50 was 210 mg/L.

A supporting QSAR study using the PetroTox Model is also available, which predicted the LL50 value at > 1000 mg/L.
