Description of key information
The lowest EC50 value was 3.1 (1.4-4.2) mg/L for Yield. The 72-hour Average Growth Rate value was empirically determined to be EC50 >5.0 mg a.i./L. The No-Observed-Effect Concentration (NOEC) was determined to be 1.3 mg a.i./L.

In a GLP compliant guideline, the effect of the test substance on the growth of the freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined. Results are reported as mean measured concentrations from 72-hour EC10, EC20 and EC50 values for biomass expressed as yield and average growth rate data. Results are calculated from the 0-hour to 72-hour cell density counts. The 72-hour average growth rate EC50 >5.0 mg a.i. /L was empirically derived and therefore no 95% confidence limits are assignable. Additionally the No-Observed-Effect Concentration (NOEC) values for total yield and average growth rate are reported as 1.3 mg/L.
