Description of key information

Short-term toxicity to fish

The acute toxicity of the test substance to Zebrafish (Danio rerio) was determined by an open static test according to OECD 203 under GLP conditions. The 96-h LC50 was determined to > 100 mg/L.

Long-term toxicity to fish

The test item showed no toxic potential at concentrations at or above the water solubility. The NOEC was determined to be > 0.05 mg/L and thus higher than the limit of water solubility.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The EC50 (48h) of the test item to Daphnia magna was determined to be > 100 mg/L according to OECD 202 under GLP conditions.

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

The NOEC (21 d) of a structural analogue substance to Daphnia magna was determined to be > 100 mg/L (nominal) according to OECD 211 under GLP.

Toxicity to algae and cyanobacteria

The test item was tested to Desmodesmus subspicatus in an open static test system according to OECD 201 (1984). Under the given conditions of this study the 72-h ErC50 value and the 72-h NOEC were determined to be > 100 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

The toxic effects of the test substance on the oxygen consumption rate of aerobic microorganisms (activated sludge) after of 3 h was determined according to the OECD 209 (1984). The EC50 was determined to be > 1000 mg/L.
