Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary test

The test cup was heated at a rate of 5± 0.5°C/minute. Starting at 25°C, an attempt was made to ignite the vapour of the test item for every 2°C temperature rise.

No flash-point was observed below the boiling temperature of the test item (i.e. 197°C). Therefore the preliminary test was repeated. The temperature of the test item at the start of the additional test was 25.0°C. Starting at 25°C the ignition source was applied for every 2°C temperature rise. A third preliminary study was carried out to confirm the result of either the first of the second preliminary test.

Main study

Three tests were performed according to the ISO Guide 2719 method. The test cup was heated at a rate of 5±0.5°C/minute. Starting at 108°C, ignition was tested for every 2°C temperature rise.

The result of the first test was > 28°C from the starting temperature of the ignition source. Two more tests were performed. In these tests, the temperature of the test item at the start of the additional test was 115°C. Starting at 115°C, ignition was tested for every 2°C temperature rise.

Applicant's summary and conclusion
