The bioaccumulation of benoxacor in an aquatic system was investigated in a GLP and guideline compliant study. The study is considered to be reliable without restriction (Klimisch 1). The bioconcentration factor of benoxacor in fish was observed to be 94 in whole fish and the depuration half-time calculated was 27 hours. Furthermore, benoxacor rapidly dissipates in soil and water/sediment systems. Based on the bioconcentration factors from the fish study, bioaccumulation of residues in the terrestrial compartment is unlikely to occur. Therefore, the potential for bioaccumulation of benoxacor in the environment is very low.
