Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A 72-hour ErC50 of >100 mg/l and a NOEC of 50mg/l, algae, OECD201 with the read accross substance (Chloromethyl)triethoxysilane CAS RN 15267-95-5.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Valid short term measured data are not available for (chloromethyl)diethoxymethylsilane (CAS No. 2212-10-4) therefore read across from the comparable substances, Chloromethyltriethoxy(methyl)silane (CAS No. 15267 -95 -5) was used to fill the data gap for invertebrates. A 72-hour ErC50value of > 100 mg/l and NOEC value of 50 mg/l have been determined as effects of the test substance on Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata based on nominal concentration of the substance. The study was conducted according to a standard guideline (OECD Method 201) and was selected as read accross study. As the substance is subject to rapid hydrolysis, it is therefore likely that the test organisms were primarily exposed to the silanol hydrolysis product, retained in the test media.
