Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Waiving according to "column 2" in Annex IX and X of REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 (CSA does not indicate need for further investigations). 1907/2006/EC Annex IX, Column 2, 9.4: "The study does not need to be conducted if direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely."

Furthermore, based on results from a valid activated sludge respiration inhibition test (NOEC >= 1000 mg/L), no soil microorganism toxicity is to be expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

ECHA guidance R.7c outlines under section R.11.5.3 that data on soil microbial activity are required only in case that inhibition of STP microbial activity has been observed - this was not the case. Therefore, no further testing was conducted.
