- The pure test item TA-2 indicated no self-heating at atmospheric pressure up to its melting point starting at a temperature of approx. 160 °C. According to this result of the tests on the self-ignition in the Grewer Oven the test item is classified as follows:

In the investigation of self-ignition in the Grewer Oven the pure test item showed two endothermic effects in the temperature ranges of 160 – 190 °C and 230 – 240 °C, whereby the first endothermic effect can be assigned to the melting of the test item (see study 2018 -5114 -DGP). No further thermal effects could be observed up to the maximum test temperature of 412 °C. After the test the wire basket was empty.
