Results

The test item melted and discoloured itself to white if it came into contact with the Butan burner flame. A inflammability of the test item was not possible. An independent burning of the test item without the contact of the burner flame was also not possible. The test of the duration of burn down was cancelled. The test item is not low inflammable.

Conclusions:
The test substance was determined to be non-flammable according to E.U. Method A.10

The test substance was determined to be non-flammable according to E.U. Method A.10.

Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected.

The substance is completely molten at a temperature well below 160 °C and therefore shows not self-heating behaviour if it is not absorbed on a large surface.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on flammability on ignition, flammability in contact with water, pyrophoricity and self-heating of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification.
