Description of key information

>500 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A literature review was conducted. In a weight of evidence approach the literature values were evaluated. The Design Institute for Physical Property Research reports the auto ignition temperature to be 599 °C. The Knovel Critical Tables (2nd Edition) reports the auto ignition temperature to be 600 °C. Furthermore the GESTIS database reports the auto ignition temperature to be greater than 500 °C. The auto ignition temperature of greater than 500 °C was regarded as worst case assumption for the chemical safety assessment and was therefore chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment.
