Description of key information

The partition coefficient is defined as the ratio of the equilibrium concentration of a dissolved substance in two phases separately consisting of two largely immiscible solvents viz., n-octanol and water. The analysis of the test item concentration in samples taken from the two phases was carried out using reverse phase analytical method by HPLC with UV-detection.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
