Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures

General information:

In case of accident or unwellness, seek medical advice immediately (show directions for use or

safety data sheet if possible). Remove victim out of the danger area. Take off contaminated clothing.

If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical advice. Do not leave affected person

unattended.

Following inhalation:

Provide fresh air. In case of respiratory tract irritation, consult a physician.

In case of skin contact:

Rinse skin with water/shower. In case of skin irritation, consult a physician.

After eye contact:

Rinse immediately carefully and thoroughly with eye-bath or water. In case of eye irritation consult an

ophthalmologist.

After ingestion:

If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Get medical advice/attention if

you feel unwell.

Self-protection of the first aider:

No direct artificial respiration to be given by first aider.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

Harmful if swallowed.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media:

Water spray jet, alcohol resistant foam, extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide (CO2).

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

This material is combustible, but will not ignite readily.

Hazardous combustion products:

In case of fire may be liberated: carbon oxides (COx); Nitrogen oxides (NOx); gases/vapours, toxic

Advice for firefighters

Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.

Additional information

Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. Do not allow entering drains or surface water.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

For non-emergency personnel

Personal precautions:

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Remove persons to safety.

Protective equipment:

Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection.

For emergency responders

Personal protection equipment:

Personal protection equipment: see section exposure controls

Environmental precautions

Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

For containment:

Avoid dust formation. Take up mechanically.

For cleaning up:

Water (with cleaning agent)

Additional information

Use appropriate container to avoid environmental contamination.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Protective measures

Advices on safe handling:

Wear personal protection equipment. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.

Provide adequate ventilation.

Fire prevent measures:

No special fire protection measures are necessary.

Environmental precautions:

Discharge into the environment must be avoided.

Advices on general occupational hygiene

When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Apply skin care

products after work.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Technical measures and storage conditions:

Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Hints on storage assembly:

Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs.

Specific end use(s)

Recommendation:

Raw material for dental technology.

Observe technical data sheet.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Occupational exposure limit values

WEL (GB) Dust, respirable fraction: 4 mg/m³

(Dust limit value respirable fraction)

WEL (GB) Dust, inhalable fraction: 10 mg/m³

(Dust limit value inhalable fraction)

Biological limit values

No data available.

DNEL-/PNEC-values

No data available.

Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls

Technical measures and the application of suitable work processes have priority over personal protection

equipment. Provide adequate ventilation as well as local exhaustion at critical locations.

Personal protection equipment

Eye/face protection:

Eye glasses with side protection (EN 166)

Skin protection:

Tested protective gloves must be worn (EN 374).

Suitable material: NBR (Nitrile rubber)

Thickness of the glove material: ≥ 0,11 mm

Breakthrough time (maximum wearing time): ≥ 480 min

The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the

specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances. For special purposes, it is

recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together

with the supplier of these gloves. In the case of wanting to use the gloves again, clean them before

taking off and air them well.

Respiratory protection:

Usually no personal respirative protection necessary. Provide adequate ventilation.

Wear breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dusts/aerosols.

Combination filtering device (EN 14387), Filter type A-P2

Other protection measures:

Wear suitable protective clothing (EN 14605, EN ISO 13982).

Environmental exposure controls

No data available.

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability

The product is chemically stable under recommended conditions of storage, use and temperature.

Possibility of hazardous reactions

No hazardous reaction when handled and stored according to provisions. If dust is generated: Danger of

dust explosion.

Conditions to avoid

Keep away from heat. Protect against direct sunlight. This material is combustible and can be ignited

by heat, sparks, flames, or other sources of ignition (e.g. static electricity, pilot lights, or mechanical/

electrical equipment).

Incompatible materials

Oxidising agent, Acids.

Hazardous decomposition products

No known hazardous decomposition products.

In case of fire may be liberated: carbon oxides (COx); Nitrogen oxides (NOx); gases/vapours, toxic

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods

Product/Packaging disposal

Waste codes/waste designations according to EWC

Waste code product:

Remark:

The allocation of waste identity numbers/waste descriptions must be carried out according to the EEC,

specific to the industry and process.

Waste treatment options

Appropriate disposal / Product:

Dispose of waste according to applicable legislation. Consult the appropriate local waste disposal expert

about waste disposal. For recycling, contact manufacturer. Do not allow to enter into surface water or

drains.

Appropriate disposal / Package:

Completely emptied packages can be recycled.

Other disposal recommendations:

Collect in closed and suitable containers for disposal.

Additional information

Waste for disposal is to be classified and labelled.
