Additional information

The substance N-(2-(4-amino-N-ethyl-m-toluidino)ethyl)methanesulphonamide sesquisulphate (CAS 25646-71 -3) is characterized by high water solubility > 1000 g/L, a low vapour pressure 0.022 - 0.039 Pa and a partitioning coefficient of <-5.1. Since the partition coefficient was below the trigger value of 3 the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption. Based on these physicochemical properties the substance is not expected to evaporate into atmosphere or retain in the soil and sediment compartment. Therefore under environmental conditions the substance would mainly distribute into the water compartment.

The substance is not readily biodegradable (11% and 20% after 28 d, OECD 301B) but hydrolyses takes place under environmental conditions with half-life values at 25 °C ranging from 1.3 at pH 7 to 3.2 days pH 4 (OECD 111).
