Acute hazard classification for the aquatic environment

There are adequate short-term studies available covering three trophic levels, i.e. algae, daphnia and fish (fish study available in NONS dossier). The submission substance was classified for Environmental Hazard Category Acute 1 / H400 "Very toxic to aquatic life" / M-factor 10 according to the CLP Regulation, based on the lowest experimental effect concentration (96h-LC50 = 0.065 mg/L, fish).

Chronic hazard classification for the aquatic environment

There is one adequate long-term toxicity study available, i.e. for algae (72h-EC10 = 45.5 µg/L), and there are adequate short-term studies available covering three trophic levels, i.e. algae, daphnia and fish (fish study available in NONS dossier).The submission substance is rapidly biodegradable. The submission substance was classified in Category Chronic 1 / H410 "Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects" / M-factor 10, based on acute toxicity data (96h-LC50 = 0.065 mg/L, fish), because this led to the most stringent outcome.

In conclusion, the submission substance was classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment, i.e. Category Acute 1 (H400, M-factor 10) and Category Chronic 1 (H410, M-factor 10).
