Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Executive summary:

Introduction

The viscosity of the test substance was determined using a CANNON Automatic Viscosimeter (CAV-2100)

Method

The test method determines kinematic viscosity by measuring the time for a volume of liquid to flow under gravity through a calibrated glass capillary viscometer. Three parallel results are required during the measurements. The results are presented as the mean of the parallel determination results.

Results and Conclusion

The kinematic viscosity of the test substance at a pressure of 1012hPa is 196.2 mm2/s at 40°C and 15.13 mm2/s at  t 100°C.
