- Executive summary:
The boiling point of the test item Hydrogen [4-[[4-diethylamino)phenyl][4-[ethyl[(3-sulphonatobenzyl)amino]-o-tolyl]methylene]-3-methylcylohexa-2,5-dien-1-ylidene](ethyl)3-sulphonatobenzyl)ammonium, sodium salt was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.2., OECD Test Guideline 103 (1995) and EPA OCSPP 830.7220 (1996). No boiling point up to its decomposition starting at a temperature of approx. 200 °C was determined.
Reference
The thermograms of the DSC runs PN15834 and PN15839 are shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3, respectively. In the temperature range of 200 – 270 °C the test item showed an exothermic effect with a mean energy release of -140 J/g. The test item showed an endothermic effect in the temperature range of 460 – 490 °C.
