Administrative data

First-aid measures

-       After inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, perform artificial resuscitation. If breathing is difficult give oxygen. Refer patient to a physician.

-       - After skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash with plenty of water. Wash contaminated clothing before the next use. In the event of any adverse effects, obtain appropriate medical attention.

-       After eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with Diphoterine® or with of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids open to ensure cleansing. In case of persistent inflammation, take the advice of an ophthalmologist.

-       After swallowing: Do not make the victim vomit. Do not give the victim anything orally. Give water freely to dilute stomach contents. Alert a physician

-       Instructions for the physician: Treat according to symptoms. Keep the victim under medical surveillance

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: pulverized water, carbonic anhydride, dry chemical powder or appropriate foam.

Special risks : Toxic gas, COx and NHx.

Special protective equipment for fire fighting: Wear a complete protection equipment and a self contained respiratory apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Person related precautionary measures: Avoid contact with skin. Avoid dust formation. Wear protection equipment.

Environmental-protection measures: Keep out of drains, prevent entry in natural environment

Procedures for cleaning / absorption :

      Recovery : Place spillage in appropriate container for waste disposal.

Neutralisation : Wash spill site thoroughly after mater pick up is complete.

Disposal: Dispose in accordance with all applicable national and local environmental regulations and laws.

Handling and storage

Technical measures:

Precautions for workers exposure: Avoid contact with eyes and muquous. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Precautions for fire or explosion: Avoid electrostatic charging. During loading, work in an inerted equipment.

Safe handling advice: Avoid dust creation.

STORAGE

Technical measures: Store in the original container.

Storage conditions: Handle and store under inert gas. Heat, light, and moisture-sensitive.  

 Recommended: Keep protected from light and moisture.

Recommended material for packing: Aluminium drums. Avoid contact with polyethylene.

Exposure controls / personal protection

 Respiratory protection: Cartridge (AB + P) mask or compressed air mask

 Eye protection: safety goggles.

 Hand protection: gloves.

 Body protection : Standard working suit

Industrial hygiene :

Immediately change contaminated clothing. Wash hands and face after working with substance. Under no circumstances eat or drink at workplace. Do not inhale substance.

Stability and reactivity

-       Stability: stable in standard conditions of use

-       Hazardous reactions: polymerisation

-       Conditions to be avoided: Heat, sparks, moisture, electrostatic charge.

-       Materials to avoid: Strong oxidant, peroxides, and polymerisation initiator.

-       Hazardous decomposition products: Decomposition products can result in COx or NHx.
