Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- - After skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash with plenty of water. Wash contaminated clothing before the next use. In the event of any adverse effects, obtain appropriate medical attention.
- After eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with Diphoterine® or with of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids open to ensure cleansing. In case of persistent inflammation, take the advice of an ophthalmologist.
- After swallowing: Do not make the victim vomit. Do not give the victim anything orally. Give water freely to dilute stomach contents. Alert a physician
- Instructions for the physician: Treat according to symptoms. Keep the victim under medical surveillance.
Fire-fighting measures
Special risks : Toxic gas, COx and nitrogen oxides.
Special protective equipment for fire fighting: Wear a complete protection equipment and a self contained respiratory apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Environmental-protection measures: Keep out of drains, prevent entry in natural environment
Procedures for cleaning / absorption :
Recovery : Place spillage in appropriate container for waste disposal.
Neutralisation : Wash spill site thoroughly after mater pick up is complete.
Disposal: Dispose in accordance with all applicable national and local environmental regulations and laws.
Handling and storage
Precautions for workers exposure: Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Precautions for fire or explosion: Avoid electrostatic charging. During loading, work in an inerted equipment.
Safe handling advice: Avoid dust creation.
