Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

pulverized water, carbonic anhydride, dry chemical powder or

appropriate foam

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Thermal decomposition may produce carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxides

- Advice for fire fighter: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:

Wear a dust mask and gloves.

- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:

- Environmental precautions:

Keep spill out of drains and prevent entry groundwater and soil.

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Recovery : Stop leaks/spills. Vacuum or scoop spilled material. Place spillage in appropriate container(s) for waste disposal

Neutralisation : Wash spill site thoroughly after material pick up is complete

Disposal : Dispose in accordance with all applicable national and local environmental regulations and laws.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Technical measures : Not restricted (keep away from sources of ignition), take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge
