First-aid measures

General advice : For an immediate medical attention, call a doctor/physician to request a medicinal emergency aid.

If inhaled : Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.

If exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

In case of skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Wash with plenty of water and soap.

If exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

In case of eye contact: Flush with water while holding eyelids open for at least 15 minutes. If exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

If swallowed: IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor/…/if you feel unwell. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by medical personnel. If exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, CO2, dry chemical, chemical foam.

Formation of toxic gases (HCl, COX, POX) is possible during thermal decomposition or fire.

During all firefighting activities, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA)). Cool exposed containers.

Extinguish flames at a safe distance from the containers, by using fire hoses or extinguishers automatic systems with nozzles positioned at the top of the containers.

Remove the containers from the fire area or keep containers cool. Damaged containers must be handled only by authorized trained personnel.

Accidental release measures

For non-emergency personnel

Evacuate from affected area the personnel not involved in emergency intervention. Alert internal emergency personnel or fire-fighters.

If immediate action is necessary refer to the instructions / directions for emergency personnel.

For emergency personnel

Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment consistent with the degree of hazard.

If applicable, stop spillage or leakage and eliminate all sources of ignition.

Environmental precautions:

Stop leakage to the outside (sewers…).

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Pick up with a shovel and collect in a drum for destruction or treatment. During containment and cleaning up operations, insure adequate ventilation. Wash the soil with water and detergent. Avoid dust formation. Do not use vacuum cleaner but only manual equipment not providing sparks.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling

Obtain special instructions before use. Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Keep away from any source of ignition and earth equipment. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges. Operators' earth connection to consider. Look after accumulation of powder in apparatus.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Technical measures:

Keep container closed when not in use.

Storage conditions:

Store in the dry area, at room temperature. Shelf life : 24 months, between 15 and 25 °C.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters

Average concentrations in total dust and alveolar dust inhaled in 8h must not exceed respectively 10 and 5 mg/m3 air.

Exposure controls

Individual protection:

Gloves, glasses, respiratory protective equipment, protective work clothing. Personal protective equipment have to be adapted to the risk assessment and European (EN) and International (ISO) standards.

Occupational hygiene practices:

Provide adequate ventilation in work place relating to the operation. After handling, remove carefully personal protective equipment and wash with plenty of water before storing or destruction for disposable overall.

Environmental exposure controls:

Environmental monitoring by appropriate devices is in place. For more information contact the supplier.

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal conditions of use (pressure and temperature).

Possibility of hazardous reactions: Dust may sustain fire or explosion in case of ignition source.

Conditions to avoid:

Dust can be the cause of explosion or fire. As a precautionary measure, keep away from heat sources, electrostatic discharges, light, flames and other ignition sources. Do not expose to moisture.

Incompatible materials: Acids, bases and water.

Hazardous decomposition products: Toxic fumes (COX, POX, HCl).

Disposal considerations

Incineration. Dispose of in manner consistent with federal, state, and local regulations. Packaging waste : avoid dispersion of the product and send to an waste management center for destruction in accordance with the state regulation.
