Conclusions:
The UN self-heating test with Titanocene dichloride (TDC) was carried out to determine
whether this substance shall be classified as a self-heating substance or mixture according
to EC Regulation No 1272/2008 (CLP) [1]. The study was performed in accordance with test
method N.4 given in the UN Manual on Tests and Criteria [2]. Two tests were performed i.e.
the test in the 25 mm sample cube at 140°C and the test in the 100 mm sample cube at
140°C.
Based on the test results Titanocene dichloride (TDC) shall not be classified as a selfheating
substance.
