Justification for classification or non-classification

Male and female mice showed a significant increase in vascular tumors at the high dose level (localisation of the vascular tumors  was not specified). The incidences of vascular tumors for male rats at low dose level were 2/14 animals and at high dose level 4/14 animals (simultaneous control: 0/14, pooled control: 5/99).
In female mice were 2/20 animals at the low dose level and at high dose level 7/18 animals with vacular tumors

observed (simultaneous control: 0/15, pooled control: 9/102).

There was evidence of carcinogenicity for male and female mice indicated by increased incidence of vascular tumors.

Classification:

DSD: Category 3, Xn, R40 Limited evidence of a carcinogenic effect

EU-GHS: Category 2 carcinogen
