Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
- After inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Keep patient warm. Seek immediately medical advice.
- After skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with plenty of water.
- After eye contact: Wash immediately with plenty of water for 15 min or Diphotérine®. Alert a physician.
- After swallowing: Do not make the victim vomit. Do not give anything orally. Alert a physician.
- Instructions for the physician: Treat according to symptoms. Keep the victim under medical surveillance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: CO2, powder, foam.
Special risks : toxic gases when in contact with fire : COx, HBr.
Inadvisable media : water jet
Special protective equipment for fire-fighting : Wear a complete protection equipment and a self-contained respiratory apparatus.
Other information: Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.
Accidental release measures
Person related precautionary measures : Use personal protective equipment. Avoid breathing dusts. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition. Evacuate personnel to safe areas.
Environmental-protection measures: Wear gloves, mask with cartridge (ABP) adapted for chemical uses
Procedures for cleaning / absorption: Keep out of drains, prevent entry in natural environment; Recover with an appropriate material, clean the place with an absorbing product and put the whole in a container. Ventilate the place and wash the spreaded zone
Handling and storage
HANDLING
Avoid contact with skin, eyes.
Avoid exposure to dusts.
STORAGE
Store in cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.
