Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2007-07-25 to 2009-09-10
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: See remark
Remarks:
GLP study performed according to OECD Guideline 104 (Vapour Pressure Curve) and EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure). The report does not contain sufficient data to enable complete evaluation. Missing information are 1) sufficient validation of the analytical method; 2) not reported whether or not the nitrogen flow was checked regularly since this is a very important parameter.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 104 (Vapour Pressure Curve)
Deviations:
no
Remarks:
: There were no amendments made to the study plan.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.4 (Vapour Pressure)
Deviations:
no
Remarks:
: There were no amendments made to the study plan.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Remarks:
Swiss Federal Office of Publice Health
Type of method:
gas saturation method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
- Identity: TIC876 (T002675)
- Batch: 603T-1
- Purity: 97.76%
- Expiration date: December 19, 2007
- Storage: at room temperature (about 20°C)
Temp.:
25 °C
Vapour pressure:
0.19 Pa

Results of the Test

2.1 x 10-1 Pa at 25 °C

6.1 x 10-1 Pa at 35 °C

1.6 x 100 Pa at 45 °C

Calculation of the vapour pressure of TIC876 (T002675) at 25 °C by extrapolation based upon the simplified Clausius-Clapeyron equation resulted in a vapour pressure of 1.9 x 10-1 Pa at 25 °C.

Conclusions:
The test substance was found to have a vapour pressure of 1.9 x 10-1 Pa at 25 °C.

Description of key information

A GLP study was performed to determine the vapour pressure according to OECD guideline 104 and EU Method A.4 without deviations (K2, Weissenfeld, 2007). A vapour pressure of 1.9 x 10-1 Pa was estimated at 25°C using the Modified Watson Correlation.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.19 Pa
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The gas saturation method was used to determine the vapour pressure of the substance at three test temperatures. This test was performed at 25 °C for 42 minutes, at 35 °C for 80 minutes and at 45 °C for 51 minutes. The vapour pressure of T002675 was then calculated by extrapolation based upon the simplified Clausius-Clapeyron equation resulted in a vapour pressure of 1.9 x 10-1 Pa at 25 °C.
