Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/206, Annex IX, Sections, testing for the soil endpoints are not required if direct or indirect exposure of the soil is unlikely, or if the substance is readily biodegradable- The ECHA Guidance r.11, further states that Koc or Kd values can be used as an indicator of whether the substance is likely to be of concern for the soil compartment. As a rule of thumb, substances with log Koc > 4 are generally regarded as highly adsorptive and likely to distribute in soil. As the substance has a log Koc < 4 (the twa logkoc is 2.09), it is not deemed to be neither highly adsorptive nor likely to distribute in the soil compartment.
