Administrative data

biodegradation in soil: simulation testing
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
Justification for type of information:
According to column 1 in Annex IX of REACH the test has to be performed "... for substances with a high potential for adsorption to soil". The test item has a low potential for adsorption to soil, see under Section 5.4.1. No need to perform the test is therefore derived.
According to column 2 of Section 9.2 "Further biotic degradation testing shall be proposed by the registrant if the chemical safety assessment according to Annex I indicates the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance and its degradation products": The CSA does not indicate the need to investigate further the degradation of the substance.
