Justification for classification or non-classification

According to UN Test N.1, the substance is ignited by a flame as ignition source in the first screening test. If the substance sustains combustion, a main test is performed in which the burning velocity over a defined burning distance is measured. For the classification according to the UN Transport Regulation and to GHS / CLP Regulation, it is further tested whether the combustion can be stopped by a wetted zone. As the test item could not be ignited applying a flame as ignition source for at least 2 minutes (melting instead was observed), the main test did not have to be performed. Therefore, the product is not classified as a readily combustible solid in class 4.1 according to the UN Transport Regulation, and is not classified as flammable solid according to GHS / CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008 Annex 1: 2.7.
