Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In an expert statement (see study report 513805) it was concluded that the substance has no oxidizing properties.

In accordance with the screening procedure as described in UN Manual of Tests and Criteria: Appendix 6 "Screening procedures for substances which may have oxidizing properties", the classification procedure for oxidizing substances in Division 5.1 does not need to be applied.

Description of key information

No oxidising properties (based on structural formula).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Since there are no chemical groups in the molecule of the substance associated with oxidising properties, classification for the CLP hazard 'oxidising solid' is not required according to CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
