Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

- Expiration date: 04 May 2006
- Purity: 99.9%
- Storage condition of test material: at room temperature at about 20°C
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period

In contact with the ignition source, T002907 melted and emitted white fumes. A white melt remained. T002907 could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes). Therefore, no main test was performed.

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
TIC2782 (T002907) could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes).
Based on the results obtained, the test item is considered 'not readily combustible' (i.e. ‘not flammable’).

Description of key information

The flammability potential of T002907 was determined in a GLP study according to EU Method A.10 (Weissenfeld M, 2006).

According to the results of the preliminary test, performance of the burning rate test was not required. T002907 is considered as 'not readily combustible' (i.e. 'not flammable'). Furthermore, T002907 is not considered as a pyrophoric substance, self-heating substance or a substance which emits flammable gases after contact with water (no tests performed, waiving based on theoretical assessment and experience in day-to-day handling and use).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance needs not to be classified as flammable, pyrophoric, self-heating or as a substance which emits flammable gases in contact with water.
