Any other information on results incl. tables

The mean burning rates of reaction with the test item / cellulose mixture in proportions 4:1 or 1:1 were lower than the mean burning rate of reaction with the reference item / cellulose mixture in proportion 1:2.

Therefore, the test item was not considered to be an oxidising solid following GHS terminology and was not classified in Division 5.1 and thus was not assigned to any packing group following the “UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria”.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The oxidising properties of ytterbium doped yttrium disilicate were investigated according to the UN O.3 test method in compliance with GLP. The mean burning rates of reaction with the test item / cellulose mixtures in ratios 4:1 and 1:1 were lower than the mean burning rate of reaction with the reference item / cellulose mixture in proportion 1:2. Therefore, the test item was not considered to be an oxidising solid of Division 5.1, is not assigned to any packing group, and is not classified as an oxidising solid under the CLP regulation. The deviations from the guideline during the study are not considered to have affected the quality or the interpretation of the results obtained, hence, the results of the study are considered reliable without restrictions.
