Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The boiling point of the test item sodium lauroyl glutamate cannot be determined as it decomposes before a boiling point is reached. The onset of decomposition is 350 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling point of the test item at atmospheric presssure cannot be determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD guideline No. 103 as it decomposes before a boiling point is reached. The onset of decomposition is 350 °C.

To confirm this interpretation, the boiling point was estimated with Syracuse software. The predicted boiling point, 726 °C, is far beyond the stability of an organic substance.
