Description of key information

Experimental dermal absorption of Tetraphosphorus trisulphide (solid powder) during 22 h of exposure: 1.8 %.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Absorption rate - dermal (%):
1.8

Additional information

The experimental dermal absorption of Tetraphosphorus trisulphide (solid powder) during 22 h of exposure was 1.8 %. The only use of Tetraphosphorus trisulphide is in the production of matches where it is contained into a resin at a concentration of about 10 % w/w. This final composition was tested to measure the possible skin absorption that was 0.4 % w/w in 30 minutes and 1.63 % during 22 h of exposure.
