Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Classification related key information

The concept of ready biodegradability does not apply to inorganic substances.

Acute toxicity:

-          Fish: LC50(96h)> 140 mg/L (nominal)

-          Aquatic invertebrates:EC50(48 h) >240 mg/L (nominal)

-          Algae:EC50(72 h) >240 mg/L (nominal)

Chronic toxicity:

-          Algae: NOEC (72 h): <60 mg/L (nominal)

Conclusion on classification

Acute toxic effects were not observed were not observed in short-term toxicity studies on fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae. The chronic NOEC in determined for algae is <60 mg/L. Thus the substance does not need to be classified and labelled according to the 6th ATP of Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP).
