First-aid measures

General information:When seeking medical attention, show this material safety data sheet or the packing with the label.· After inhalation:Immediately remove patient from exposure and move to fresh air. Rinse mouth and nose with water. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.· After skin contact:Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with plenty of water and soap. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.After eye contact:Remove contact lenses if any. Immediately rinse affected eye(s) with water for minimum 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention if irritation/discomfort persists. Continue to rinse with water during transport.· After swallowing:Rinse out mouth with water and drink plenty of cold water or milk. Try to induce vomiting. Do not give anything by mouth to unconsious persons. Obtain medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing agents:CO2, powder or water spray. Extinquish large fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.Formation of toxic and corrosive gases is possible during heating or in case of fire. Avoid inhalation of fumes.

Accidental release measures

Use respirator, protective gloves and goggles/face shield during clean-up.Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of dust.

Handling and storage

Persons, who handle this material, should be familiar with the hazards of the material and the necessary safetyprecautions, including this safety data sheet.The substance should be handled carefully as data are limited.The substance should primarily be used in closed systems and be handled under well-ventilated conditions.Immediately remove contaminated clothes.Wash hands after work, before eating and after using the bathroom.Avoid inhalation of dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid prolonged and/or repeated exposure.Pregnant and breast feeding women should not be exposed to the substance in concentrations that can causeadverse effects to the child.Prevent formation of dust.

Exposure controls / personal protection

The substance is used under strictly controlled condition (SCC) during its whole lifecycle:(a) the substance is rigorously controlled from its arrival to its use and transformation:(b) procedural (Standard Operating Procedures for use) and control technologies are used to minimizeemission and any resulting exposure;(c) the substance is handled only by trained and authorized personnel;(d) in the case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as equipment washing areapplied before the system is opened and entered;(e) in cases of accident and where waste is generated, there is an Emergency Plan to minimize emissionsand the resulting exposure;(f) substance-handling procedures are well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.Details about SCC, exposure controls and personal protection is attached in a "RMM-document” (section 13 of the dossier).In case of insufficient ventilation, use a self-contained breathing apparatus or mask (with filter P2). The filters have a limited usage time and should be changed regularly.Use gloves e.g. of the type: nitrile or butyl rubber.
