Executive summary:

The melting point of the test material was investigated in accordance with the standardised guidelines OECD 102 and EU Method A.1 under GLP conditions using a capillary method.

Three capillaries containing the test material were placed into the apparatus, the block was heated from 150 to 165 °C at 0.5 °C/min heating rate. The transformations of the test material were observed, visually through the magnifying glass. Three parallel experiments were carried out and in each case three parallel samples were measured.

Under the conditions of this study the melting point of the test material was determined to be 158.8 ± 0.08 °C (431.9 K).
