Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

244.3 °C

Additional information

A study was conducted to determine the boiling point of the substance. Therefore, using the dynamic method a vapour pressure curve was recorded. At 1000.570 hPa a temperature of 243.99 °C was measured. The parameter of the Antoine equation were determined and the boiling point at 1013.3 hPa was calculated to be 244.3 °C. In addition a study was conducted to determine the vapour pressure of the substance at different temperatures. At 247.1 °C the vapour pressure of the substance was determined to be 1013.25 hPa. Furthermore Mandel 1954 (as cited in Registry, 2014) reports the boiling point to be at 244-246 °C. All reported values are in the same range and therefore regarded as reliable. A boiling point of 244.3 °C was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment as it was from the study with the most pure substance.
