Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

thermally stable

Additional information

Three studies were conducted according to DIN 51007 to determine the thermal stability of the test substance. The first study was conducted using a pressure resistant V2A steel vessel. 3 exothermic reactions were observed with an onset temperature of 140/320/445 °C and peak temperature of 174/399/497 °C and a released heat quantity of 50/170/>330 J/g. The 3. reaction was self-accelerating. To exclude chemical reaction of the test substance with the V2A steel vessel a second study was conducted using a glass vessel. 2 exothermic reaction were observed with an onset temperature of 120/460 °C and peak temperature of 131/487 °C and an released heat amount of 10/>170 J/g. In a third study using a pressure resistant V2A cell two exothermic reactions were observed with an onset temperature of 165°C and 470°C and a releasing heat quantity of 20 J/g and >70 J/g, respectively.

No reaction with significant decomposition energy was observed below 150°C. Thus, the test item is considered to be thermally stable at room temperature.
