1. Dynamic viscosity determination at 20oC and 40oC:
Determination of viscosity was carried out in accordance with PN-EN ISO 3219:2000.
The sample is transferred to a standard measuring system. The measurement is carried out under different share conditions and the apparent viscosities are determined. During the test the temperature of tested sample is kept constant.
The measurement were carried out at 20oC and 40oC. Viscometer calibration was done before test at the same temperatures. In measurements CS4-18 spindle at 50 and 100 RPM was used.
Share rate [sec-1] was calculated by the following formula:
Share rate [sec-1] = 1.32*N
1.32 – SC4-18 cylindrical spindle factor (from Supplier`s manual)
N – speed [RPM]
Thus calibration measurement was done at following share rate: 66 sec-1and 132 sec-1.
The sample chamber was fitted into a water jacket connected to an external thermostat which was set at selected temperature for the test.
An aliquot of 7 to 9 ml of test item was placed into the sample chamber and after about 15 minutes the thermal equilibrium was verified. The spindle was vertically immersed into the test item starting to rotate with the selected speed. After a few seconds, when the measurement became stable, the viscosity value expressed in mPa*s was displayed on the screen viscometer. The measurement at each speed was performed in triplicate.

Conclusions on results:
Dynamic viscosity of MCPA-2EH at 20oC is 31.20 mPa*s (average of results at share rate 66 s-1and 132 s-1).
Dynamic viscosity of MCPA-2EH at 40oC is 11.58 mPa*s (average of results at share rate 66 s-1and 132 s-1).
2. Kinematic viscosity determination at 40oC:
Kinematic viscosity was determined on the calculation method using following formula:
V = ŋ/ƿ
V – kinematic viscosity in mm2/s
ŋ – dynamic viscosity in mPa*s
ƿ – density in g/cm3
Density at 40oC was determined according to PN-EN ISO 3675:2004 Standard giving following results:
