Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Physico-chemical properties of registered substance were determined from experimental testing, except water solubility, partition coefficient and vapour pressure that were derived from available data on constituents in a constituents approach. Some endpoints were waived, based on chemical structure of constituents or experience in handling and use of the substance.

The substance is an oily and colorless organic liquid at ambient temperature.

It is slightly more dense than water (so excess is expected to sink).

The substance is soluble in water and has no potential for bioaccumulation. The substance is considered as not surface active .

It is NOT classified as hazardous with regard to physical hazards (flammability, explosivity, oxidising properties, self-heating) based onRegulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation).

(handbook data)

The boiling point of registered substance was stated as 120°C at reduced pressure of 10 mm Hg (1333 Pa).

Relative density

(handbook data)

The relative density (D20/4) of test item was determined to be 1.0625.

Granulometry (data waiving)

not applicable (liquid)

Vapour pressure

(QSAR data on constituent)

The Vapour Pressure of the substance was predicted as 6.13 Pa at 25°C

Log Kow

(QSAR data on constituent)

The logKow of the substance was predicted as 1.4 at 25°C

Water solubility

(QSAR data on constituent)

The water solubility of the substance was predicted as 9565 mg/L at 25°C.

Surface tension

(OECD 115/EU A5, plate method)

The surface tension of a 1 g/L (nominal) aqueous solution of the test item was determined as 62.78 ± 0.10 mN/m at 19.9 °C.

According to EU A.5 criteria, as the result is above the threshold value of 60 mN/m, the substance is NOT considered to have surface active potential under the experimental conditions.

(waiving)

With a flash point of 126.5 °C, the registered substance is NOT classified as a Flammable Liquid according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP regulation) and according to GHS.

No hazardous reaction anticipated if contact with air or water. Waiving, based on structure and experience.

No self-heating potential. Waiving based on physical state (liquid)

Explosive properties

(waiving)

Waiving based on chemical structure of the constituents of the substance.

Registered substance is not to be classified as explosive material.

Oxidising properties

(waiving)

Waiving based on chemical structure of the constituents of the substance.

Registered substance is considered to have no oxidizing properties
