Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
other: The substance does ignite but does not propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the test period.

Any other information on results incl. tables

The flame of a gas burner did ignite the test item pile. The test item melted, burned with a blue flame, emitted sparks and turned into a dark brown residue. After removal of the ignition source, the flame extinguished after 1 second and no propagation of combustion was observed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: not classified based on GHS / CLP criteria
Conclusions:
The substance was determined to be not highly flammable / not readily combustible
Executive summary:

The flammability of the solid substance was determined a GLP study according to EC A.10 and UN Test N.1. In the preliminary screening test, the substance did ignite but did not propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the test period. The substance was determined to be not highly flammable / not readily combustible.
