First-aid measures

Inhalation:

Move affected person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. For breathing difficulties, oxygen may be necessary. Get medical attention if anydiscomfort continues.

Ingestion:

Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Give plenty of water to drink. Keep affected person under observation. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues. Show this Safety Data Sheetto the medical personnel.

Skin contact:

Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing.

Eye contact:

Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media Water spray, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable extinguishing media

Do not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.

Hazardous combustion products

Thermal decomposition or combustion products may include the following substances: Oxides of carbon.

Protective actions during firefighting

No action shall be taken without appropriate training or involving any personal risk.

Special protective equipment for firefighters

Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing.

Personal precautions

Wear suitable protective equipment, including gloves, goggles/face shield, respirator, boots, clothing or apron, as appropriate. Use suitable respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate.

Handling and storage

Usage precautions

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash contaminated skin thoroughly after handling. Wash hands and any other contaminated areas of the body with soap and water before leaving thework site. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Use mechanical ventilation if there is a risk of handling causing formation of airborne dust. Handle and open container with care.

Wear suitable protective equipment for prolonged exposure and/or high concentrations of vapours, spray or mist.

Storage precautions

Store in tightly-closed, original container in a dry and cool place. Store at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. Store at temperatures not exceeding 40°C. Protect from freezing and direct sunlight. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Eye/face protection Eyewear complying with an approved standard should be worn if a risk assessment indicates eye contact is possible. The following protection should be worn: Chemical splash goggles.

Wear tight-fitting, chemical splash goggles or face shield.

Hand protection Wear protective gloves. Considering the data specified by the glove manufacturer, check during use that the gloves are retaining their protective properties and change them as soon as any deterioration is detected. For exposure up to 8 hours, wear gloves made of the following material: Nitrile rubber.

Other skin and body protection

Avoid contact with skin. Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact.

Hygiene measures Wash contaminated skin thoroughly after handling. Rinse immediately contaminaned clothing and skin with plenty of water before removing clothes. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product.

Respiratory protection If ventilation is inadequate, suitable respiratory protection must be worn. Wear a full facepiece respirator fitted with the following cartridge: Organic vapour filter. High-efficiency particulate filter.

Stability and reactivity
