Justification for classification or non-classification

The oxidising properties of the test item were deduced using EU Test Method A.17 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC. This test is only designed to indicate whether or not a substance has oxidising properties. Since the test item did not meet the criteria for classification as an oxidising solid under this test method, it is considered that it is also not classified as an oxidising solid under CLP (ref. Guidance on the Application of the CLP Criteria, Verson 4.1 - June 2015).
