Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Surface tension
Key result
Surface tension:
26.3 mN/m
Temp.:
20.1 °C
Conc.:
1 g/L

Any other information on results incl. tables

The test was repeated until the last five determinations had a standard deviation of no more than 0.1 mN/m. The surface tension was corrected with a calibration factor of 1.0203. The absolute deviation was 1.1 mN/m.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The surface tension of LMDT is 26.3 mN/m.
Executive summary:

The surface tension of LMDT was tested using the ring method. Two solutions of about 1 g/L LMDT in water were tested. The mean surface tension, with calibration correction, was 26.3 mN/m.
