Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Acute (short-term) aquatic hazard: Category 1 (H400) with M factor=1

Acute toxicity data are available on five trophic levels (algae, aquatic plants, invertebrates, fish and mollusc) and the marine algae Skeletonema costatum is the most sensitive species with an EC50 on growth rate of 0.12 mg/L below 1 mg/L.

Chronic (long-term) aquatic hazard: Category 2 (H411) with M factor=1

Chronic toxicity data are available on three trophic levels (algae, invertebrates and fish) and the freshwater Daphnia magna is the most sensitive species with a NOEC on reproduction of 0.0242 mg/L below 0.1 mg/L.

Biodegradation test in freshwater/sediment shows that the substance is a ready biodegradable.
