Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The sample was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) and the test item is not mechanical sensitive with respect to the shock.

The sample was observed to exhibit no reaction at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) and the test item is not mechanical sensitive with respect to the friction.

The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests of thermal sensitivity. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) and the test item is not thermally sensitive.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

The explosive properties were determined according to the test method A.14 'Explosive Properties' as described in Directive 440/2008 and according to GLP.

A series of six tests was performed dropping the 10 kg mass from 0,4 m (40 J) on the sample using Bam Fallhammer apparatus for the sensitivity to shock.

The sample was observed to exhibit no reaction at 40 J. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) and the test item is not mechanical sensitive with respect to the shock.

To assess the sensitivity to the friction, a series of six tests was performed with a load of 360 N on the sample using Bam Friction apparatus.

The sample was observed to exhibit no reaction at 360 N. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) and the test item is not mechanical sensitive with respect to the friction.

For the thermal sensitivity, a series of three tests with a 6.0 mm diameter orifice plate and a series of three tests with a 2.0 mm diameter orifice plate were performed on the sample using Koenen tube apparatus

The sample did not exhibit an explosion during any of the tests. The test result is therefore considered Negative (-) and the test item is not thermally sensitive.
