In order to calculate sample relative density D204, the value of the density of water at 4 °C was looked up in the literature, this being 0.999975 g/cm³ according to the Handbook of Chemistry and Physics; David R. Lide; Editor in Chief. If it is assumed that sample density at 20 °C does not differ more than the own measurement error, this value is calculated from the quotient between the value of sample density at 20 °C and the value of water density at 4 °C, both expressed in the same units.

Conclusions:
The density of zircon, cadmium yellow was determined to be 4.420 g/cm³. The relative density was calculated to be 4.420 at 20 °C.
