Description of key information

No tests have been performed with terrestrial plants. Considering the substance properties and the type of use of the substance the long term earthworm test was considered to be the most appropriate test. For strongly adsorbing substances soil-dwelling organisms that feed on soil particles are usually most relevant.

The long term terrestrial toxicity test with N-C16-18-alkyl-(even numbered, C18 unsaturated) trimethylpropane-1,3 -diamine resulted in a NOEC of 250 mg/kg dw for reproduction. The reliability of the long term earthworm test is considered higher than the results of the EPM. The observed NOEC of 250 mg/kg dw is therefore used for the derivation of the PNECsoil.
