PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Taking into account the lack of biodegradation in a ready biodegradation test, the substance 2-amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol has therefore a potential to be seen as persistent or very persistent on the basis of biodegradability screening data.

The log Kow of the substance 2-amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol at ambient temperature is 1.8. This low log Kow indicates that the substance has hydrophilic properties and is not considered as bioaccumulable or very bioaccumulable.

The acute toxicity data assessed on fish, daphnia and algae are higher than 1 mg/L Therefore 2-amino-6-chloro- 4-nitrophenol  is not considered as T on the basis of these aquatic toxicity results. The substance is neither classified as carcinogenic (cat. 1A or 1B), nor germ cell mutagenic (Cat. 1A or 1B), nor toxic for the reproduction ((cat. 1A, 1B or 2). It is not classified as "Specific Target Organ Toxicity Repeated Exposure category 1 or category 2 ". Therefore the substance 2-amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol is not considered as Toxic.

The substance 2-amino-6-chloro-4-nitrophenol has he potentiel to be Vp/P, however it is not B/vB and not Toxic. Therefore it is not PBT or vP/vB.
