Conclusions:
Ozone has a water solubility of 0.57 g/L at a temperature of 20 °C.
Executive summary:

Ozone has a water solubility of 0.57 g/L at a temperature of 20 °C. The solubility of ozone in water decreases when temperature increases. The solubility values listed in Ullmann's Encyclopedia are extrapolated values, because the original experiments have been performed with diluted ozone. 100 % ozone gas is never generated (impossible and dangerous). Apart from temperature, the solubility of ozone in water is also dependent on the ozone concentration in the feed gas (Henry's law) and the pH, which is not covered by this record.

Description of key information

Additional information

The solubility of ozone in water decreases when temperature increases. The solubility values listed in Ullmann's Encyclopedia are extrapolated values, because the original experiments have been performed with diluted ozone. 100 % ozone gas is never generated (impossible and dangerous). Apart from temperature, the solubility of ozone in water is also dependent on the ozone concentration in the feed gas (Henry's law) and the pH, which is not covered by this record. The increased solubility of ozone at lower temperatures is supported by handbook data from the Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology (1.1 g/L at 0 °C).
