Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to ECHA's endpoint specific guidance R.7a (2013), vapour pressure testing is not required for a substance with a standard boiling point of < 30 ºC, as this substance will have a vapour pressure above the limit of measurement (i.e. 10E+05 Pa). The boiling point of ozone is –111.35 °C, hence no testing required. Ozone is a gas at the temperature of use. Nevertheless, a key value for chemical safety assessment is adopted from the online source PubChem, reporting a vapour pressure of 41257 mm Hg at 10.4 °C, which is equivalent to 55005 Pa at –12 °C.
